Yesterday, experts from the National Standards Committee who participated in the drafting of the "Sports Equipment and Venues for Primary and Secondary Schools" released in 2005 revealed that the "new national standard" for plastic playgrounds has been drafted for discussion and expert opinions are being sought. The specific announcement time has not yet been determined. The expert pointed out that the national standard discussion draft not only considers increasing the detection of toxic and hazardous substances, but also stipulates the sports performance and safety of the venue, which is more comprehensive than the local standards.
5 provinces have formulated local standards for plastic playgrounds; 4 provinces have increased the testing of toxic and odorous substances; Shanghai playgrounds have reached the "bite" standard
